More about Selling Styles

How do I add a new style?

Signing up as a Seller on MakeApp is easy!

Either upload photos or select a video from your YouTube channel. Be sure to select only the best photos to represent your unique style and look (make sure you obtain permission from the person whose photo you are uploading). You can add up to 5 different photos to represent one look e.g. for hair styles, it can be the front, back and side profiles. Once you have selected a style you like to promote, simply add a title, description and price. Adding a price is optional. The buyer will have the ability to enquire about your style and pay in person. You must also choose a category for your style whether it is make up, hair, eyebrow or nails. This will allow clients to find the right style easily. If your style has extras e.g. eyelash extension, hair colouring or air brushing, you can include them too.  It’s as simple as that.

  1. Close up photos are a good idea.

  2. Use bright and high quality photos.

  3. Make sure the subject is in focus.

  4. Remember to stand out from the crowd.

You have the ability to publish and un-publish your styles (max of 5 styles) anytime you like.

How will my clients find me through MakeApp?

Clients are able to search for you by location, style category, rating, popularity or your name. If they like what they see, they can get in touch with you to set up an appointment.

Where can I work?

As a freelancer beautician, you have the option of working from your own home studio or travelling to client site. Isn't it great to be able to work from the comfort of your own home? You have the ability to specify your preferred work location on MakeApp. This information can be accessed and edited on your profile.

Is MakeApp really free?

Yes, the App is free to use with a limit of 5 styles per customer. To upload more than 5 styles, you must subscribe. In the future, we hope to make this service completely free with no style limit.

Is price of a style mandatory?

Specifying a price is entirely up to you. Leaving this information out simply means that clients can get in touch with you to discuss price options. However, for price-conscious customers, it may be a good idea to indicate what they can expect to pay. MakeApp does not accept payments for any bookings.

Are clients buying my style?

Clients are looking for specific, unique styles to suit the flavour of the day. Your photos and videos provide them with options they can try.
